We are excited to announce that, on behalf of our sister company Parkwood Leisure, PPM is spearheading the project management for the newly awarded contract to design, build, operate, and maintain a state-of-the-art leisure centre in Broughton Astley, Leicestershire. This £3.6 million development promises to deliver top-notch sports facilities to the local community, featuring a sports hall, a fitness gym, two studios, and a floodlit artificial grass pitch.

The project is currently in the planning approval stage, with construction set to commence in February. We anticipate completion before the end of 2019, bringing a significant enhancement to the community’s recreational infrastructure.

The design for this cutting-edge leisure centre has been entrusted to Watson Batty Architects Ltd, known for their innovative and functional architectural solutions. Speller Metcalfe, a respected name in the construction industry, will handle the building phase. PPM has effectively coordinated efforts with these esteemed consortium partners throughout the bidding phase and will continue to oversee the project meticulously during the construction phase.

Our commitment to this project extends beyond construction. Once operational, PPM will manage the new facility’s assets over its 20-year lifespan, ensuring its sustained excellence and usability. This long-term involvement underscores our dedication to maintaining high standards and delivering continuous value to the community.

The new leisure centre at Broughton Astley marks a significant investment in the community’s health and well-being, providing excellent sports and fitness facilities. We are proud to contribute to this transformative project and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on the local area. Stay tuned for further updates as we progress through the various stages of development and move closer to opening this fantastic facility.
