Crook Log Leisure Centre

As part of a significant capital leisure investment commitment by the London Borough of Bexley, the Crook Log Leisure Centre underwent a transformative refurbishment and expansion. The project included:

  • Complete refurbishment of the existing facility
  • Construction of a new pool hall to accommodate state-of-the-art wet and dry facilities

The newly constructed pool hall features an eight-lane, 25-meter competition pool with seating for 200 spectators, a teaching pool with a full-size moveable floor, and a changing village. Dry facilities comprise a 6-court sports hall, an extensive fitness suite, an aerobics studio, and a crèche. Crook Log Leisure Centre was officially opened by Her Majesty the Queen on July 26, 2005.

Erith Leisure Centre

Similarly, Erith Leisure Centre was part of the London Borough of Bexley’s capital leisure investment commitment. The centre underwent comprehensive refurbishment and construction, resulting in state-of-the-art wet and dry facilities. Key features include:

  • An eight-lane, 25-metre competition pool with seating for 200 spectators

Erith Leisure Centre was also inaugurated by Her Majesty the Queen on July 26, 2005.

Sidcup Leisure Centre

May 2009, Sidcup Leisure Centre was honored with the Community Benefit category award at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Awards South East. This recognition highlights the collaborative efforts of Bexley Council and its private sector partners in delivering outstanding facilities that benefit the residents of the London Borough of Bexley. The centre features:

  • A six-lane, 25-meter community pool
  • A teaching pool with extensive leisure facilities
  • A changing village
  • A four-court sports hall
  • An extensive fitness suite
  • An aerobics studio
  • A crèche
  • A large café bar area

Sidcup Leisure Centre commenced operations in March 2008 and was officially opened by the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson.

The success of Crook Log, Erith, and Sidcup Leisure Centres in the London Borough of Bexley, recognized through awards and royal inaugurations, underscores the commitment to excellence in leisure facility provision.
