PPM has successfully managed a comprehensive £1.2 million refurbishment project at Towcester Leisure Centre in South Northants during 2020/21. This significant overhaul has enhanced multiple areas of the facility, ensuring a modern and efficient environment for all users.

Key Refurbishments

Reception, Gym, and Studios:
The project included extensive updates to the reception area, gym, studios, changing rooms, and pool hall. The gym facility was extended to feature a large functional fitness area, highlighted by a new functional rig. Several rooms were reconfigured to create a contemporary multi-purpose studio, ideal for yoga, Pilates, meetings, and various other activities.

Spin Studio:
The spin studio was expanded into the old crèche, significantly increasing its size. This improvement allows for larger, more interactive spin classes, enhancing the experience and value for all customers.

Changing Facilities:
The pool changing facilities were transformed into a contemporary changing village. This upgrade included the installation of new lockers, cubicles, and sanitary fittings, providing a modern and comfortable environment for users.

Structural and Mechanical Upgrades

Pool Hall:
Vital structural work was completed in the pool hall, with all structural steels coated with a waterproofing system to improve durability and extend the building’s lifespan.

Energy Efficiency:
Various mechanical upgrades were undertaken to improve the energy efficiency of the leisure centre. These improvements are aimed at reducing operational costs and the facility’s environmental footprint.
